Basically we all need to get right behind him for the run in whether we think it’s a good appointment or not.
We have no other choice now.
Personally I can see a few players flourishing under him. Think he’ll get the best out of Banks, Rooney & Gotts.

To be fair to the bloke he went into a Southend team who were losing every week and didn't lose a game. I'd take that for now. Next season is next season.

Let's hope he is not the first manager to take two consecutive teams down in two seasons.

It smacks of desperation, but that is understandable, given our league position and the direst of consequences if we were to be relegated. It’s got to be good that he is experienced. I have no idea about his style of play; no doubt we will find out soon enough. Underpinning everything is the necessity to win. We will probably discover if our players are any good over the next few weeks as well. They need to show that they are professional footballers ready to do their job, and not just go through the motions.

All appointments carry risk but he needs our full support for the rest of the season then let's take it from there. He's obviously been temporarily appointed with one simple remit to keep us up, then review. I'd say he ticks the 'motivational qualities' box so let's see. Good luck Phil and welcome

Not sure why Brown is seen by some as a joke figure. Experienced manager who could well be exactly what we need. Bit of personality and spirit. Certainly won't be [SwearFilter] moaning all day like Cooper.
