A view on where Barrow will finish

I’d be tempted to start Harris alongside Holloway if we are playing two up front; think he’d do a lot better than we have seen so far when he isn’t the one who’s expected to win the headers, lead the line etc

I would like to think we`er trying all these scenarios at training, oh wait a minute Holloway can`t attend training what an absolute farce our club have become !

Out of interest, why can't he train? Do Burton not release him to train with us?

Oldham and Stevenage both need to be four points better off than us over the final games taking goal difference into account. Stevenage play the same number of games with a slightly more favourable run in, while Oldham have a game less and a similar run in to ours. But once again you're in that position of hoping there's two poorer teams than ourselves as opposed to having the confidence that we can drag ourselves safe, hopefully with at least a game to go.

Saturday's performance, not the result, will be particularly telling on how the rest of the season will go IMO.

The team need a bit of confidence ie a win soon but i cant see it on saturday against the best team ive seen this season hope im wrong though

We were desperate for a target man with EFL experience and he was the only one available who was prepared to come to Barrow

Having watched Oldham tonight, I believe we will be relegated. You cannot go all season with no attacking threat. Holloway and Gordon would struggle to score if they were the only 2 players on the pitch. As an attacking force we are pathetic!

I watched the match also and I'm afraid to say that I now can't see Oldham being relegated. They showed everything that we have been lacking i.e. total commitment and fight from every player, good attacking ability and solid defending.
After watching their last match against Sutton I was hopeful that their defence would be an achilles heel but last night they had a couple of their absent players returning and it made a huge difference. Orient, who beat us comfortably, had only one chance in the whole match which forced a brilliant save from the Oldham keeper but, otherwise, he was unemployed. Oldham dominated the game and should really have won more easily. Unfortunately, Orient helped out by making 5 changes from the team which beat us with weaker players coming in!

Good result no doubt, but they have hardly turned into world beaters overnight have they?

Before and during their midweek match against Sutton, there was a discussion on just how badly they had been hit by injuries and suspensions which had changed their winning run into a losing run. There was plenty of optimism that results would turn around when missing players returned which was about to happen. One defender returned for the Mansfield match which they only lost by a late 95th min goal and another defender and midfield player retuned last night and the improvement in defending from the Sutton match was huge.
Not world beaters but nowhere near a relegation side on that form.

Well, I'd play Sea and Kay which only shows just how bad are the othe options!

Totally agree - Sea and Kay upfront for me also. At least there is some pace there.
