Stevenage have released 15 (!) players, including Brad Barry. Transfer listed another 4 too. Probably the sort of clear out job we need.

If you read back in the thread someone said that 3 hours ago - but it potentially is a :scarf: if he wants to come here. Holloway together with a Quigley type player and Kay would be a decent forward line.
Surely Quigs and hollaway are too similar Holloway did ok for us but I would hope we could do better, funny how he started putting the effort in when he must of realised he was at the end of his Burton contract !

Give over! :D It was the change of manager and training 2 days with the others wot done it.
Don't let the old man in.

That's Steve Evans for you. Loves a good old clear-out and rebuild.

What amazes me about Holloway is, we allowed him to come to the club in the first place, on an understanding that he didn't train full-time with the club.

James Norwood, striker released by Ipswich Town- 31 years old- games played and goal record speaks for itself- scored goals wherever he has been. Comparable career stats (games played and goals scored) record to Andy Cook. The record of a proven goal scorer we need.

At Ipswich, Norwood will getting 2 or 3 times the salary that we could afford to pay.

Reduce the squad size, free up the budget and have quality players. If we want to improve on the playing field we need to find a way to afford the better players.

Well said Jonty quality not quantity, sometimes we lack confidence as a club, look when we advertise for managers, the clubs that really want to get on ,target who they want and go for it !
