I’m all for the tightening of belts but end of the day if we don’t have 2000 seats by April we will be kicked out of the league. It’s literally that simple.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 10:48 am
Unfortunately the owners do not have a bottomless pit of money that can keep throwing at the club. Like everyone energy price rises and cost of living rises will affect their businesses and lives just like us all and the worst is yet to come in October.
It may very well have been budgeted for at the beginning of this season but as anybody that works in the building trade will tell you materials are literally rising on a weekly basis making it impossible for estimated to be given for large projects. Any estimate the club may have got for the work in the autumn will have gone up by at least 30% since then. Put that on for example an estimate of £100,000 that’s a big extra chunk of cash required compared to what you though you required originally I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes at the moment with costs rising and decisions to be made on all fronts
