Re: Pete Wild confirmed
Good appointment,Knows the sporting director well which is good to hear let’s hope they have a list of targets drawn up. We need this to work and have him for 3 years and not panic if it takes a bit of time to get into our stride next season

Yes. A very impressive interview without the usual claptrap you get from many new managers. To be fair to him, I suspect anything better than being in a relegation fight next season will be a positive to most supporters. It certainly would be to me!sempre contigo wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 1:47 pm'‘I was sold by the ambition of the owners and how they are local people who want to do well for their football club. Welcome Pete Wild! As far as first impressions go, you've put a massive tick in that box!
Re: Pete Wild confirmed
Impressive first interview, he seems instantly relatable.
I sense the sporting director was influential in his appointment. He seems happy with letting him get on with the agents and contracts side of it, so that’s a good sign as there relationship will be crucial if this new set up is going to work.

This appointment just feels right, I was hoping we could’ve got him after Cooper went but obviously that was going to prove difficult. A great interview and seems to know what he wants and how he’s going to do it. A million miles away from listening to the dirge that came out of that idiot Coopers mouth…not that I could bear tuning in for the last four or five months as it was bad enough watching it without listening to him bumble through an interview trying to explain what was going wrong.
All of this must be costing a small fortune, the owners deserve our thanks for once again trying to do the right thing. I hope ST sales go through the roof on the back of this.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Video interview now on official site. Not the usual Geordie lad asking the questions. Also fairly short but still good to see and hear from the new manager.

The 'Geordie lad' is a Mackem.

Simmo currently enjoying a well deserved holiday so Matt Dodd filling in - he will admit himself he’s better manning the camera rather than asking the questions but did a good job coveringRedWeb wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 3:45 pm Video interview now on official site. Priced himself out of the job from what I heard - half a million my arse.
Like that the DoF was in place before the Manager so PW knows the score from the outset.

Re: Pete Wild confirmed
Cooper wasn't articulate enough or indeed interested enough to answer any questions. Adam J had to feed him multiple choice answers to get any sense out of the dour little runt, I mean I like a drink but I never get like that.spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 2:55 pm This appointment just feels right, I was hoping we could’ve got him after Cooper went but obviously that was going to prove difficult. I thought the kid did a decent job with the interview. Didn't sound flustered at all. Asked the basic questions and got solid answers.
