If all you can think about at 5am is little old barrow then weβve certainly got you rattledCarlisle1970 wrote: βWed Aug 10, 2022 5:07 amHenneysKnee wrote: βTue Aug 09, 2022 11:16 pm People will say it was Blackpool Reserves, People will say we rode our luck with some of their misses in the second half. The 1000 Barrow fans there will not give two fcuks about that; that was one of those I was there moments that we can cherish for the rest of our lives. Tremendous work rate on the pitch matched by the tremendous noise in the away end. Just think that could have been Phil Brown in charge tonight, masterstroke by all those who stopped that and got Wild instead, what a bloody man he is!
Prem club at home or Morecambe away in the next round please![]()

Epic night out !
Re: Match Thread: Blackpool (A) - League Cup
I got home last night just in time to hear the final penalty, and the commentators' brief confusion about whether that had won the game. Also heard references to penalties being taken again. Can someone tell me what happened in the penalty shootout?

Thank you, hopefully weβll get a decent draw for the club.Tallow wrote: βWed Aug 10, 2022 1:59 amOh. My. This is outrageous.
Unbelievable, that on one of the best nights in your history, and all you can think about is Carlisle United.
Good luck in the next round to all you genuine Barrow fans who live in the real world.

Thanks Matty, it's probably just as well for my health that I wasn't listening to it unfold!

OK, cryptic crossword fans, a Blackpool supporter has sent me this one:
Ailment for footie fan from a feathered friend (4,2,1,6)
I do cryptics all the time but I haven't got it yet. I asked if it included the words 'beaten' or 'Barrow', he says not.

What a farce that penalty shoot out was! No good for the nerves but amazing result. Unbelievable effort all round.

Re: Match Thread: Blackpool (A) - League Cup
Before kick-off there were several posts on the Blackpool forum which said 'strong team, strong bench' so to describe them as Blackpool Reserves is OTT. Some players were left out from their game at Stoke after poor displays and chances given to close-season signings to stake their claim to a regular place.
