As Wild has already said - lets take it one game at a time. Not putting a dampener on things we had a half decent start last season and then went into a slump. I agree with others this feels different though but we mustn't get too far ahead of ourselves. Another thing Wild said - he'd prefer us to keep under the radar for a little bit longer.

It's Harrogate next. And we really do owe them one....or two!

Tuesday was the best performance I’ve seen from a Barrow team in a long time. Looked dangerous going forward, working hard without the ball. The new signings are looking great and the existing players are playing with a new-found energy. Pete Wild and his staff deserve a huge amount of credit for this, long may it continue.

Regarding the disgusting chant. It did happen and was caught on film. Look, a young man who loved football lost his life in an unprovoked and senseless attack. If you aren’t anything but grief stricken by such a thing, then I feel sorry for you. This getting at opposition fans and crossing the line to do so needs to stop. You will regret it when you are older and it’s giving the club a bad name. Use your energy to support the team and try to show respect to opposing fans. They’ve traveled a long way to support their team. There’s no need to be aggressive and hurtful. Use your brain and keep your hearts open. Compassion is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength.

A good post. There are obviously a minority that haven't the necessary knowledge or understanding of life to behave properly in certain circumstances. When naive and/or bad judgments are made they potentially bring shame on the club, which is not representative of the general Barrow ethos, and it can be blown out of all proportion by e.g the media. We can end up being labelled a "nasty" club, which no one wants, because it isn't so. Education of the perpetrators is required. Maybe a joint effort by the club and the police. It's a difficult one.

The Club can today provide the following update, regarding the abhorrent remarks made by a small group of spectators during Tuesday night’s Sky Bet League Two fixture between Barrow and Walsall.

The Club has moved swiftly with the local authorities to identify those involved, using our CCTV system, and today has issued several banning orders to spectators who were involved.

We must take this opportunity to remind everybody that Barrow Association Football Club has a zero tolerance stance on anti-social behaviour, verbal/physical abuse and any other discriminatory remarks or acts.
