I cannot understand how this guy Phillips keeps his job he constantly criticises Barrow for being above Carlisle, he is there to give a balanced view on all teams, foe heavens sake B.B.C. FIRE HIM.

His comments on Barrow are not criticism IMO it’s more of shock and surprise on how well we are doing. Let’s face given the last two seasons and where both teams finished both Stevenage and Barrow are the surprise teams in this seasons EFL2

If Morecambe got relegated this season surely our "local" derby would be with them. Interesting comment by the presenters saying after the Barrow fans comments that they've been trying to "manufacture" (presenters words) a rivalry between Barrow & Carlisle. It's as bad as the M23 derby between Brighton and Palace.

I agree Morecambe is more a derby than Carlisle would ever be, their derby is Hartlepool.

That is the difference between the perception of both clubs. Barrow- any bit of success and we are punching above our weight, enjoy it while you can etc. Carlisle- genuine promotion contenders it seems.

IMO both sets of supporters should be grateful for the air time given to both clubs by BBC Radio Cumbria. There are many teams in EFL2 and some in EFL 1 that get nowhere near the radio coverage that Carlisle and Barrow get.

And both Barrow and Morecambe are in Lancashire, not Cumbria, which is not a county!
