Still don't think it's a great view at all especially looking towards the crossbar end with all the vertical obstructions but needs must and we can only do what resources allow.

Re: Expansion
I think we'll get hammered because of the gap in the roof ,I wonder if anything can be done because I wouldn't like to pay and then find out I could possibly get soaked

Re: Expansion
You can get soaked in the main stand now up to 9 or 10 rows back depending on the strength of the wind and rain.

Re:- The gap in the new stand where the floodlight is.
Surely the solution is to put the steps where there is no roof and move the seats in the uncovered section to where the steps are now. That way everyone seated would be under a roof.

Yep I'm no structural expert but I wondered if there is a way the roof canvas can be cut and sealed around the floodlight pylon.

Sent the pic to my mate who is a Stockport fan and he was impressed.
Said that anything had to be better than the area they stood in last year with a terrible view of the pitch.
Think only Barrow fans will moan (as normal) and the away fans will be more positive about it.
Re: Expansion
Dunno. But it may be that the gap is to be filled or it may be not.
If it is, it would likely have a different effect upon wind loading; whether for better or worse, I know not.
THE NORTHERN WAY
Re: Expansion
I won’t be sat getting wet. I’ll stick with the driving rain on the holker street end.
Re: Expansion
Luton have had to postpone their big return to the Premier League because extensive building work to comply with PL regulations will not be completed on time. All this in the rush to the top where smaller clubs have to stretch themselves financially to stay abreast of the bankrolled elite.Time to scrap these ludicrous and unnecessary rules and concentrate on the green bit in the middle which is where 99% of fans are focussed.

Re: Expansion
It is not just at this level - anyone sat in the lower tiers of the Eitihad (Man City) gets soaked when it rains.
Having just seen the PNE highlights, the ground is totally different from our National League days, great work.

Re: Expansion
Hammered, what are you talking about, you sit out in the open at several grounds. And realistically how many teams gonna bring 700+, probably 3, so the chance of anyone getting wet is minimal. Think you just see the negatives in everything.
