552 in the away seated east stand
371 in the west terrace (home side of the main stand)
196 in the steelworks end
And then whatever the main stand holds, can never remember

Takes it roughly over 2,000

Impressed by the new stands and the money spent, full marks to the board for their investment but, yes there’s a but, and I’m sure there’s a good reason for it, why is the stand on the West terrace smaller than the one built
on the East ? If the West had been the same size you could have taken out the Steelworks end seats and created more space for away standing supporters.
The steelworks end seats won't be included in the 2000 there needs to be 2000 covered seats as far as I am aware.. which 371 112 552 and 980 achieves

Thanks for all the replies - and I realise I’ve badly phrased my original question but I guess what I really should have asked is why is the West Terrace new stand smaller than the East ? was it all down to cost because there looks as much room on the West Terrace as there is on the East yet the stand on the East is bigger.

Was to do with the positioning of the toilets or something like that so it couldn't go as deep

i think it was more to do with sight lines - if the new home stand was as big as the away one it would have blocked more of the view of part of the pitch for people in the existing main stand.

The main stand erected in the 1990's it seated 1.000, which was the criteria to be promoted at the time but over the years some have been taken out for various reasons, if you include the Directors section I would say it seats Circa 950 now.

when the main stand was built the capacity was somewhere about 1030 - it was still over 1000 if the original directors area was deducted and yes i know because I did the seating layout as I was the Surveyor at the main contractor when it was built. I also change the seating colour from all blue to include BARROW spelled out in white seats.

also we needed 1000 seats to get into the league and the main stand was the only seated area we had - so the number of seats in the directors area is included within the capacity of the stand - which is probably still over 1000 not 950.

Toilet block at the back of teh stand so restricted teh height it can go - whereas the away end side goes right to the back wall

not sure - but even removing that would have still left us over 1000 as it was around 1030 to start with

I suppose the full capacity of the ground will now be in excess of 6000 - not sure what the capacity of the popular side or the standing section at the HS end is.
