Expansion
Re: Expansion
I've noticed that the latest responses from Highways (parking issues) & LLFA (Lead Local Flood Authority - drainage) - dated 19/07/2023 - are still recommending refusal.
Re: Expansion
There hoping to have it sorted for Newcastle U21.
Sutton won't bring many, it's the Wrexham then Morecambe games it needs sorting for... otherwise massive missed revenue especially when we are away so much at the start of the season

Re: Expansion
I think they have used the area which houses the old Liberata in the past haven't they?

Re: Expansion
Surely the i’s will be dotted & the T’s crossed by the Wrx game…..But if it isn’t & I were in charge I’d give them the entire Holker end as it’s just good business UNTIL the away end is signed off.

Won't happen, they will get 300 in the corner if it's not all signed off apparentlymickmike wilson wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 10:50 pmSurely the i’s will be dotted & the T’s crossed by the Wrx game…..But if it isn’t & I were in charge I’d give them the entire Holker end as it’s just good business UNTIL the away end is signed off.

Re: Expansion
Bonkers for me, By the way I personally hate the idea of giving up our home end but Pro League footy is incredibly expensive & they would easily bring 1500+ if we let them & it’s literally free money to reinvest in the club, So if our support isn’t filling the ground & several clubs would fill the Holker end I’d personally let them until everything is sorted, Who knows with the way we operate????Riseley wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 11:15 pmWon't happen, they will get 300 in the corner if it's not all signed off apparentlymickmike wilson wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 10:50 pm

Surely all the new seating needs to be sorted/available for the start of the season, otherwise we'll fail on the "minimum 2000 seats" rule - what will happen then - punishment/fines etc ??mickmike wilson wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 10:50 pmSurely the i’s will be dotted & the T’s crossed by the Wrx game…..But if it isn’t & I were in charge I’d give them the entire Holker end as it’s just good business UNTIL the away end is signed off.

Everything at the efl’s end is fine - there will be no punishments from them

- It states that if not sorted by next Tuesday we won’t receive the EFL central payment.

Thanks for that.
Has the concern about parking been sorted?

Re: Expansion
Not sure how they can be? Looking at the documentation they want over 1000 parking spaces to be available whereas they club has access to 415 (IIRC). Where are the club supposed to magic up 600 parking places? As other documents connected to the application show, the vast majority of away fan use public transport anyway. It is madness.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 1:18 pm Thanks for that.

Sounds to me like a new authority and new personnel with no sense of reality, sticking rigidly to "what the rules say" with no thought for the consequences.

Re: Expansion

Re: Expansion
Now that the owners have bought the old bluebird club building they could easily put parking down there like there used to be.mickmike wilson wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 3:37 pm Is there any event anywhere that needs 1000 car parking places for any event that could draw 100 up to 1k visitors????

But yeah 1000 car parking spaces is way over the top. And making a car park that big wouldn't exactly be environmentally sound either.
