Expansion
Re: Expansion
Think some people need to remember that while the decision is that of W&F council, they work within planning law and procedures which must be followed so not down to the whim of officers or the councillors.
The case officer has been consulted by the club over an extended period before the application was made. Conversations will likewise have been held at that time with some/all of the statutory consultees, many of whom also have a statutory duty to protect the public.

They dont represent my interests, this parking thing makes me think they dont have the communities interests at heart.
I think what '32mile_cul-de-sac is getting at' is..............they have no affinity with/to this area which would I think apply mainly to the Highways team, as you say Moribund.

Re: Expansion
Not being funny what does it matter where people come from? whether we agree or not people are doing their job and going by that mentality why should we sign anyone outside of Barrow!
Re: Expansion
It may help them to have a better understanding of aspects of their job.
If Walney Island had been eighty miles north, would the Carlisle-based highways mob and former upper-tier council in general have done something about protecting/developing a route towards a second crossing before now? If the Windermere Ferry was an important Eden crossing, would its awful unreliability frequently leading to a 30-minute diversion have been addressed before now?

Re: Expansion
Sutton fans can only get tickets for the Holker St away end, new seats not available.
Re: Expansion
To be fair they will only bring a couple of hundred and I think we can get 300 there without the seats.behind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 7:41 pmSutton fans can only get tickets for the Holker St away end, new seats not available.
It's the Wrexham and Morecambe games it needs sorting for as both will have large away followings

Re: Expansion
Also those games - esp Wrexham - will attract a very large home following, so don't think there's much chance of us 'giving away' any part of the Holker Street end to accommodate visitors.
Re: Expansion
Will these new stands be open permanently or just when the big boys come to town?

Re: Expansion
Sutton will not bring more than a handful of supporters. They’ve already cancelled the supporters coach owing to lack of interest.
