He made no changes on Saturday Graham from the starting line up at Notts County.

Interesting that you asked that question on a Monday night. The answer is to assume that Farman, Chester, Ray and Canavan will always start if they can. Spence will always start if he can as currently will Newby. Stockton will start if able to also. In all probability, Telford will start if fit because Wild tends to see Whitfield as an impact sub. As for the midfield wait and see who turns out tomorrow at Salford. If Gotts, Foley, Worrall, Proctor or White feature they will be benched for Saturday. Campbell I think will start. I think you might see Acquah tomorrow. In which case he’ll be on the bench on Saturday also.

So come tomorrow evening I think the starting eleven on Saturday will be be pretty apparent. But wouldn’t surprise me if it were the same as Saturday.

I did say name the team S.B and not write your usual thesis about how the universe was formed. 😉

Fair point GTblue. In response I would refer you to McMarks 11 listed above. If everyone is fit I would go with that with a possibility of a question mark over Foley

After 30 league games Pete Wild still doesn't know his best starting line-up.

Isn’t the point that he doesn’t have a fixed starting 11? The team he picks is based on what sort of game he wants us to play against the opposition on that day. Naming the same 11, regardless of the opposition, isn’t how the modern game is played. The big difference this year is that we have such a good squad that he can do this.

Agreed we are akin to a meccano set these days, lots of interchangeable parts that still works in the main which ever way you put it together as long as you rewrite the plan accordingly beforehand.👍 But I can’t see too many changes for this one, one to two max.

The analysis is regularly tiresome, sometimes ok, but regularly lacking in humility.
Generally speculative - “the answer is to assume” is a perfect example of guesswork being put forward as fact.
Some of his posts are ok, but largely irritating in my opinion as they come across as “I know more than you”, usually without justification
