Genius if you get it right
Re: Genius if you get it right
On the subject of the B team shouldn't their results and fixtures appear on the official website would be useful. Also what time is kick off at Stalybridge?
Re: Genius if you get it right
Just found out its 1pm as its on the Salford website.

Tbh we can all be guilty of that at times. It would be a boring old world if we were all the same. Keep doing what your doing S.B your material is ok by meHitthebar22 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 11:01 pmThe analysis is regularly tiresome, sometimes ok, but regularly lacking in humility.
Generally speculative - “the answer is to assume” is a perfect example of guesswork being put forward as fact.
Some of his posts are ok, but largely irritating in my opinion as they come across as “I know more than you”, usually without justification
Re: Genius if you get it right
I find SB's posts are very good. Long winded at times but that's ok
Just say no to VAR

Re: Genius if you get it right
I have only just watched the highlights of the Arsenal v Liverpool match. Is Paul Farman a better goalkeeper than Alison Becker? Those two howlers were shocking. PF be absolutely slated on here if he had done that (and rightly so). First on the team sheet every week, along with Niall Canavan.
Re: Genius if you get it right
The point I'm making, and I'm not going to be sarcastic about it, is I don't go to the Salford website normally as I'm a Barrow fan. I don't live long way from Staylbridge and could have gone today if I'd realised we were playing there. I could have re arranged plans for today. The places I look are on Barrow related websites or other social media platforms. It's gone on X today & is it now advertised there but it could been put on our website (or X) couple of days ago.

I don't agree with the earlier pop at Suffolk Blue on page 1 of this thread about his supposed "know more than thee" posts . . . SB is Barrow Soccer through and through and has my backing with his posts which are usually very knowledgeable.
It does my head in somewhat that Ben Whitfield is nearly always either a sub or, if he does play, gets subbed off. I'm a Whitfield fan and for me he is one of the best footballers we have had here in many a long year. Even the seemingly very simple pass he played on Saturday to put in Stockton was perfectly timed and weighted and you just know a lot of players wouldn't have got that timing and that weight.

I don't agree with your opinion on Whitfield re him being one of the best footballers we've had for many years. In fact, I would say he has a long way to go to match the performances of Spence and Canavan. However, I do agree that he has been our most dangerous attacking player and should be an automatic starter alongside Stockton.pjdaly wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 11:11 am I don't agree with the earlier pop at Suffolk Blue on page 1 of this thread about his supposed "know more than thee" posts . . . Re: Genius if you get it right
Thank you for your analysis of my character and intentions HTB. I dont believe we've ever met or corresponded. Yet you seem to have a problem not with my words but with me personally. TBH the comments you make above are far more judgemental than anything I've ever said and if nothing else that suggests that you are something of a hypocrite.McMark wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 11:22 pmTbh we can all be guilty of that at times. By all means criticise what I write on the forum based on whether you agree with it or not. Far from knowing more than anyone I am my own worst critic. But anything more than that please behave properly and message me as others do rather than airing your unfounded and unsubstantiated views on the forum.
A couple of years ago one of our forum members, Pedro, became almost demonised on this forum for nothing more than views that were not mainstream. It became so bad IMO that people began to question his character. To his immense credit he stuck with his views and has done to this day, like them or not.
Your comments above seem to be typical of the majority of your contributions to this forum. Taking someone else's comments and using them as a vehicle for your apparent wisdom. I'd love to have a proper debate with you regarding how your views might differ from mine but I have to say I dont find a great deal of insight into anything you write. You seem to focus on the opinions of others rather than put forward views of your own.
Apologies to other forum members. Shouldn't be using it for this. But if you put something into the public domain I think I'm due a right of reply.
Re: Genius if you get it right
Yes just saw that. Wasn't raining much in South Manchester this morning but is now throwing down so I guess Staylbridge, which is half way up the Pennines, is really getting it.
Re: Genius if you get it right
Whitfield tires badly when he starts, so is usually the obvious choice to get replaced around the hour mark. As good as he is, he’s most effective coming off the bench and running riot for half an hour or so.pjdaly wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 11:11 am I don't agree with the earlier pop at Suffolk Blue on page 1 of this thread about his supposed "know more than thee" posts . . .
