Agreed but isn't the number 1 priority of a club to have somebody, be it the manager or a person in charge of signings, who can judge a player?

Re: Released/Retained
I don't believe any rational person would advocate a change of manager when you compare Wild with any of the other managers who followed him other than Rob Kelly. Even I, who don't like his style of football, think that would be madness!
Re: Released/Retained
Maybe a good selling point to young centre halves to come to us. Learn alongside an ex premier league and Welsh international

Re: Released/Retained
Well we've certainly done it before. Jimmy Dunne comes to mind. Now a regular at QPR in the Championship. Also Bobby Thomas now a regular for Coventry City also in the Championship.

Why would we want a geriatric striker - legs will have gone!Adam29 wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 3:44 pmRumoured to be Chesterfield bound

Wasn't the 'statement signing' remark made when we signed our 'goal-scoring machine'.

Yes with a full pre season should be a statement signingMethuselah wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 7:20 pm I,m.just hoping one of our statement signings is Stockton.

If this refers to Garner his strike rate doubled when he went out on loan.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 6:52 pm Wasn't the 'statement signing' remark made when we signed our 'goal-scoring machine'.![]()
I think we need a way of playing that gives our forwards more opportunities, it's easy to blame Ged Garner, Dom Telford and so on but not sure it's fair.

Re: Released/Retained
Garner reminds me of Bamford at Leeds he's a decent footballer but his finishing is woeful but could we work on this?StephenD wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 11:24 pmIf this refers to Garner his strike rate doubled when he went out on loan.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 6:52 pm Wasn't the 'statement signing' remark made when we signed our 'goal-scoring machine'.![]()

Re: Released/Retained
I don’t think it’s his finishing that’s the problem, more his work rate
