Re: Welcome Steve Clemence
Yes, it's a good article; gives us a bit of an insight into his influences and approach.
Don't let the old man in.

Re: Welcome Steve Clemence
Interesting to note that the Top contributor to the EFL L2 Banter Group on line believes that Clemence will be the first L2 manager to be sacked this season. I wish I could say I fundamentally and totally disagree with the tosspot but I suspect his is a view that one or two others might secretly share.

Quite a few people have been getting those vibes about SC.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 8:26 amI didn’t say it was a U-Gov poll. But there is definitely something about SC that does not convey great confidence in some people.
Still, the proof of the pudding..............
Re: Welcome Steve Clemence
I feel that he looks a bit of a scruff and could do with a better shave, but apart from that I am not interested in speculation from some social media channel about when he might be sacked and feel that it is a pity that it needs to be mentioned.
Re: Welcome Steve Clemence
I wonder if the same "banter" forum were also predicting Crawley to get relegated out on L2 this time last season?

Re: Welcome Steve Clemence
For me he’s got to put more effort in and get to know us better, it feels like he’s a remote manager. With PW it felt like he was one of us and we all related to that. That said we’ve got to give the lad a chance, in a Gillingham fans poll 60% were really annoyed he got the push. I think his profile could do with a significant boost with Barrovians but I guess that’s what we have to live with in the way we operate. Let’s hope we get a great start and get right behind Clem.

What do you want him to do a few shifts in the yard. He’s managed two home games. Let him get on with his job he seems a decent guy that wants to win

Re: Welcome Steve Clemence
Feels a bit harsh considering he's only been in charge of two home friendlies but I do understand where you're coming from. Pete wild endeared himself with the fans so well, I think his working class, relatable attitude helped with that. Think patience will be needed with Clemence especially if we don't get off to a lightning start

I remember a similar article about Wild.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 11:08 am Interesting to note that the Top contributor to the EFL L2 Banter Group on line believes that Clemence will be the first L2 manager to be sacked this season. Perhaps your surname is later in the alphabet and he is working down his list to get round to supporters' homes, introduce himself and ask how he should be doing his job?Barrow afc 2018 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 12:12 pm For me he’s got to put more effort in and get to know us better, it feels like he’s a remote manager. In the meantime, he has done five or six interviews a week, mainly on video, a supporters' Q&A and an open training session. Seems a reasonable start to me.
