From my own personal experience I’d say I might have stopped following as closely as I do if I didn’t have RC comms every game for over 21 yrs being over here, It’s been invaluable to me & kept my love for the club alive during those times & now Sky coverage & Ifollow especially have been a godsend as I SEE the games now.
Radio Cumbria I thank you.

Probably about 98% of people leaving Holker Street on Saturday couldn't care less what's on Radio Cumbria post match debate but going for a pint or getting home for tea, it's not that important to most fans, I couldn't care less if it's all us or Carlisle after the game.

I didn't say Acquah was great, merely that he sometimes gives defenders problems. Telford's 'track record' with us is 4 goals! Plus he does little else. Never closes down defenders and seldom breaks into more than a trot. In 10 seasons, he's had 1 good one at Newport and 1 average one at Crawley but done nothing t any of his other clubs.Hawcoat wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:23 pmNot sure Acquah troubled crewe defence that much. Don't know how you've come to the conclusion Telford ain't good enough his track record proves that he is. Telford has to start for me our best striker by a distance.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:15 pm Very happy with the defence and midfield. We already know that Farman, Canavan, Spence and Campbell are good players and Vassell and Jackson look great additions on first view. Unfortunately, we will struggle to score goals. Mahoney looks to have the ability to beat defenders and Newby also has some ability but our strike force is very poor. I see Acquah is getting plenty of criticism but, IMO, he is our only striker who gives opposing defences even a slight concern as Garner and Telford are not good enough and on first impression Dallas looks as bad as those 2.

Thanks to Adam J and others for reminder re. 30 dedicated pre-match build-up; I stand corrected on that. Obviously it didn’t happen on Sat anyway, but great that it will going forward.

That's what happens when you don't have a goal scorer.blue nige wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 8:49 pmI think they were on about the final third,we offered nothing here Newby and Mahoney didn't create anything, so Clemence as a lot of work to do here .Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 8:41 pm
I did think Barrow were better than "not much quality". I think we have some very good players and it was a decent game. We had a strong bench as well as decent starting eleven.
Great to get 3 points, and promising signs.
You can defend as good as you like but you will concede.
Vassels was a scrambled goal.
Need a goal scorer.
I think we will see our short coming against Carlisle and Simpson will be boasting about turning it around.

We had this last year. The guy who says he is a Derby supporter working for Radio Carlisle said Barrow Fans need to phone inAdam29 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 7:51 amBut that is the point
The post match show IS that kind of show.
We have just spent 90mins commentating on the game and giving our opinion on how it has gone - the point of that last bit of the show isn’t for me and my summariser to spend 10/15minutes saying the exact same things again - it is to react to what the listeners/viewers thought of the game - so therefore does need audience interaction.
The next week it was a pre recorded article on Carlisle. So text and calls very very limited.
There are two league teams in Cumbria
I get it last season it was stated Barrow did not court media coverage but it's a sports programme could have other things in about Barrow.
