A desperate sighting IMO but if they wanted to bring one in finances will have dictated. It being a loan we will only be paying a percentage of his wage.

Probably getting mistaken with another Josh. 7 bookings in both seasons with us and no sending off's is actually quite good.

I’m presuming we still have to cover the wages of the loan players that have gone back to their clubs injured. Healey and Adu-Poku.
Re: Josh Gordon
We need goals. Signing Josh Gordon on loan and Ben Whitfield gives us more attacking players and will lead to us creating and scoring more.
Josh Gordon was the last player we had to reach double figures. If anything has been underwhelming it’s every single striker we’ve has since.

Re: Josh Gordon
Never mind Billy Waters. At this rate a Scott Quigley return cannot be entirely ruled out. Do we have a pension fund for them all.saltcellar wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 9:36 amHis disciplinary record wasn't that bad at Barrow Ann.liverpoolann wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 9:22 am Feel disloyal saying this but feel slightly underwhelmed,Understand finances must be stretched but think defence needs strengthening first At least we would get points with draws.Injury crises so early in season has not helped .Seem to be going backwards signing former players at moment.Hope I am totally wrong and Josh and Ben have great time with us.Hope his discipline has improved as Josh picked up a ffew cards I recall.

One thing about Josh, he has pace and closes players down.
We only need Billy Waters back now for the best front 3 since returning to the football league.

Re: Josh Gordon
Obviously no money available and a favour from his best mate Sadler at Walsall who are probably paying a good percentage of his wages as you say.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 8:44 amA desperate sighting IMO but if they wanted to bring one in finances will have dictated. Re: Josh Gordon
Whing will play him at right full back he loves playing players out of position
Re: Josh Gordon
Likely that most of us would have been happier had Josh Gordon remained at Barrow rather than trying his luck with a weakish club in L1. In the same way, we would have been happier with our midfielders re-signing in the summer and would likely welcome back at least two of the three.

Our opposition must be shi**ing themselves!
Another dumb signing that illustrates the current desperation of the club
