After watching and listening to him recently, I would give him a shot!

Hated Liverpool but a very likeable person, surely attack minded too. Worth a conversation at least!
One of the best one touch finishers I've ever seen,…..if we need a finishing coach.

I would of I were in the owners shoes at least be asking! He may well say get stuffed but with the training in Manchester, surely not too far from where he resides.. me personally, ask the question.

And as a side note.. let's not go forward with the little barrow [SwearFilter].. let's sell ourselves as a real hardy football club that has royal port prestige!

We were voted out the league 48 years ago, not rock bottom.. we have suffered enough since that day, time to start thinking and believing we are bigger, better and more than what history says we are!

We need someone who can understand and relate to our story and want to believe and put things right!

I always thought IE left too early, he excelled with us and his belief, he passed his belief into the players, the club and us as fans.. we all believed! That's what we need right now, someone who can build confidence, belief and courage.

So let's not think of ourselves as a charity case, we want someone who knows that Barrow is actually something quite special, unique and is better than what people perceive! It's not impossible, it's about finding someone who falls in love with the narrative

Would take McDonald for the time being - use that experience to get us stabilised and try for a solid mid-table finish. Beyond that, we are not an attractive proposition for a lot of managers - we’re small in terms of both stature and fanbase, we’re miles from anywhere, and we’re starting to look like a sacking club. I also don’t subscribe to the ‘all the players are rubbish’ thing - we’ve got some good ones and some less good, but we have neither the money nor the draw to get the ones some people think we should have. We need someone who can turn a decent squad into a good one and keep us consistently safe of that bottom third. That - for now at least - will do.

And there we go again.. why sell ourselves as a charity case? Just cos we don't have Hollywood investors doesn't mean we are not worthy of keen interest!
That's what our owners have to do now, stop this bull that we aren't an attractive proposition..
We can be big, we should be big, we have to jump on this now and stop the negativity (
Don't get me wrong, let's not punch above out weight with what we have but we ain't a poxy club with no history!

I imagine this will get shot down by forum regulars.

But whats stopping us employing someone like Rehanne Skinner?

She has lead all England youth sides from U-16 to U-21’s and has experience coaching in European competitions.

When she took over Spurs Women they were a point from safety and managed 8th place then built on that the season after and finished 5th. Shes done exceptionally well at West Ham Ladies.

I can’t disagree with any of that. We are not a wealthy club anyone coming in looking for a war chest in January will be disappointed. Any deals in January will have to be creative and will necessitate movement out before anyone comes in. Getting a fee for a player would be useful but just how much of it would the owners release to bring anyone in.
Personally I feel we do have a squad capable of surviving with a manager that sets them up correctly and plays them in there favoured positions

Personally I’d go all out for Jon Brady , but it would mean our lord sir wood taking a step back which will be the sticking point. Good article around him here

No one is saying for a second that we’re a ‘poxy club with no history’ but we are small, and we’re not close to the level of many other L2 clubs in terms of money and/or infrastructure. It’s not about being negative, it’s about being realistic. Of course we’re worthy of interest, but just because we think Barrow are great but it doesn’t mean anyone else has to. And we are starting to look like a club which gets through managers because, guess what, we get through managers.

We have been through so many managers since getting promoted 5-6 years ago. We are now in a relegation battle and let’s face it we have a poor squad. And that’s before getting someone up to Barrow. We are not a big pull unfortunately.
Yawn honestly poor Barrow. We have some good players we don’t have the lowest budget in the league and we are a football league club we are a good proposition for anyone that wants to come in and do well

But unless we start to think differently nothing will change!

If us as fans don't believe how the hell are we expecting a coach/manager to think any different? We've heard it too many times.. punching above out weight, let's not forget who we are, our location...

Sorry, but a different mindset is what we need!

I'm not blowing smoke up IE arse but he came in and showed that a positive hard working mindset can make all the difference!
Ray Wilkie is another prime example.. he just believed and instilled that belief, we all them believed and we won the FA Trophy for the first time!

If we don't shake the negativity, we will always be the mediocre club!
