Therein lies my main concern at the moment, 8 or 9 that are starting week in, week out shouldn't be anywhere near the team, but we have no depth and a long injury list and therefore no ability to freshen things up. It was mentioned on the social today that Harper wouldn't make the matchday squad if we had Williams, Smith and Foley available.

It's crazy we have no idea how long these players are due to be out.

Credit to Adam, who has asked questions around the injuries, but the 'answers' are very sketchy and evasive!

Yes Dino’s answers were noticeably dismissive, vague and swiftly moved on from - nothing to see here. Very fishy and something is telling me we won’t be seeing those players again.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

He spoke like a bloke who ain’t got a clue who has a team playing like they ain’t got a clue and they couldn’t give a toss.
Changing the goalkeeper coach is baffling. Winterbottom joined us on Luke Daniel’s recommendation and did a great job with both Farman and Wyll and from what I’ve seen Winterbottom looks more than capable. Changing now won’t do the dynamic of the goalkeeping group any good at such a crucial time plus watching the new keeper coach before the game Saturday his body language was anything but enthusiastic

Be interesting to see the Newport v.Tranmere game tonight. Tranmere nosediving with no points from their last three games whilst Newport have pulled in four points from the same number of games.

If Newport win we go second bottom, and Dino will have even more of a job on his hands restoring confidence to his side.

Also down at the bottom Harrogate haven't lost in their last five whilst we have lost 4.

Depressing times.

I’ll put it out there if we go down.

We will be more likely to get relegated again to the conference north than promoted back to the football league. , worrying times for the club if we go down.

They themselves must know that their choice of players and managers this year has been poor.

Worst mistake was getting rid of Wild.

I agree. I know it’s very doom and gloom at the minute, but there is currently no way I could see us coming straight back up. None of us need reminding just how difficult the National league is.

Yep unfortunately the national league is a congregation of clubs who are chucking money at it trying to get to the league. We’ll never compete again I think when we’re down, we’ve had our chance and done absolutely nothing with it.

To be fair, I think we only ever competed once near the top in the 48 years we were out of the league, so I’d be more surprised if we were to be competitive.

I was sad too when Pete Wild and Adam Temple left the club. They gave us a couple of excellent seasons. We overachieved under them, in my opinion.

Yes, it was up and down, at times, but certainly more ups, that’s for sure, and some incredible, memorable, moments.

I don’t think I’ve quite enjoyed watching Barrow, or had as much belief in Barrow, since they left.

I’m going to say this, yes, it was a poor and disappointing end to the season, when Pete and Adam left the club. 2 points out of our last 7 matches, dropping out of the playoffs at the death.

However, I don’t think their ‘parting’ from us was entirely ‘on the pitch’ related. I really don’t.

We finished the 2022/23 season 9th on 62 points, with a goal difference of -6.

We finished the 2023/24 season 8th on 69 points, with a goal difference of +6.

That’s an improvement. Plus you have to factor in that second season featured Stockport, Wrexham and Mansfield. Big clubs, with huge budgets.

So do I believe Pete and Adam left, all down to ‘on the field’ performance? No, absolutely not, no way.

I am not a person ‘in the know’, so I can only assume that something happened, at some point, right before, during, or soon after those fateful, final, seven matches, which will never be public knowledge, but ultimately led to us parting ways with Pete and Adam.

What I will say is I wish Pete Wild, and Adam Temple, the very best for the future. I appreciate all you did for us. Thank you.

Interesting to see if tonight's finally the night we dip our toes in to the relegation zone. If we do i really worry about the mental damage it would do to a confidence sapped side. Perhaps it would be the opposite and it would favour us to be the chasers rather than those looking over our shoulders (just trying to find any light in an increasingly darkening tunnel)
