That’s a pretty insular attitude 😂

As a league club, we’ve had plenty of banter with other fans over the years, personally I think it’s a good thing.l so long as it stays civil. Our old footymad forum (before it was ruined by adverts) was frequented by all kinds of weird and wonderful specimens from across the leagues.

We’re all football fans, our clubs are playing at the same level, and we have a game coming up. Why wouldn’t we be interested in how the other side is looking at it?
You can pick up a lot of useful information from other clubs forums if you are prepared to sift out the bile and the bigotry. I’ve heard the same thing said about our forum on many occasions.

Whatever the obvious bias you find in a particular forum I tend to find that in general the bulk of forum members whoever they support tend to have a good feel for the current state of their club. More so sometimes than the club officials do themselves or are prepared to admit.

Aye strange sort of an attitude to say the least!!!!
I only come on here because the banter is generally great, and I like to put over United's side of proceedings (good or bad). Barrow fans are passionate and generally right behind the team and club, which is great, like loyal fans of most clubs. We have a Barrow fan come on one of our sites, I think his user name is 'Barrows superb away end', and he seems a really good egg and the banter with him is great!!! and that's the crux isn't it? 'BANTER' as long as it doesn't go over the top as with some fans, then surely there's nothing wrong with it.

Can’t see the harm myself, carry on. Lots of things seem to upset Dessi 2&2 anyway.

Most Barrow fans ignore Desmond 2 2, suggest you just do the same

Anyone know if we are on course to sell out our allocation?

Picked my tickets up from the club yesterday and was told just over 900 sold, so looking doubtful

Plenty of time yet for people to buy tickets though maybe some do need a nudge. Think it would help if Northern Rail was to lay on a special train too though guess this is looking less likely as time goes by.

They can’t even run the scheduled ones.
We should have approached West Coast Railways at Carnforth for a charter set. They would have done it no problem.

People may not have paid charter fares.

Cheers. Someone (only goes to 2/3 games a season) was asking me if they’d need to buy before this weekend or could wait and see nearer the time if trains are definitely running. Be fine to wait if we’ve only sold that few

No special train though additional carriages on some of the timetabled services

Don’t quote me but not a special train as such but maybe one that goes non stop to Whitehaven and then all stops from there, a possibility

The banter with Kettering was a good craic! I remember somebody called Elvis? from their site. Him and his sidekick (can't remember his name). Those two were always up for it!
