I assume he along with the whole team and staff will have been furloughed .
Good thing is if that's the case we will only have been paying 20% of what we were due to pay with no gate receipts

Nice try but you are mistaken.

We've never had a debt of £200M or anywhere near that.

The previous owner Eddie Davies wrote off the money he invested, as was always his intention.

That isn't correct.In December 2019 after the takeover Bolton's administrators stated that the club still owed the Davies family £11 million. So that is at least £11 million Eddie Davies didn't write off

It’s not entirely binary though is it? You can love where you work or the club you are at but still want to take career steps.

I’ve had lots of jobs I loved doing every single day but when a better opportunity came up (or one I perceived as better) I’d consider it. Didn’t mean I didn’t love my current job. Like Eddie Howe left Bournemouth to go to Burnley cos he thought it was better chance for him, he was wrong and it didn’t work out and he went back. But it didn’t make him disloyal. Ultimately football managers and players are just people.
