Re: Safe
Surely at this level we are entitled to more grants and funding? Eventually we have to do something with the Cross Bar end or are we forever now a 3 sided ground? Crap if so.....
Plus the Cross Bar is an absolute 70’s style eye sore.
Big things need to happen to the ground if we are serious about establishing ourselves and are here to stay.
Don’t do things half hearted or it will look shite.

Re: Safe
We are yes; iirc we can get a grant to cover (some?) of the costs of extending the main stand to include the extra seats we need, moving the changing rooms etc etc which I would imagine is the first major movemickycarrol wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 7:11 am Surely at this level we are entitled to more grants and funding? Sure the board would love to knock the crossbar down and stick some form of stand behind that goal, if there was endless amounts of money I’m sure they’d have done it whilst the ground was empty this season.........but there isn’t basically

Re: Safe
Paul Hornby mentioned this on the radio - in the national league we were entitled to something like 70% grants where we were only paying something like 30% of the costs to get things done
In the football league it’s something like 50/50 so obviously costing us more money to do things

Re: Safe
Correct it’s 50% we pay for improvements & IMHO we the fans should set up a fund raiser to raise as much as we can towards extending the stand, The club & Trust have enough on their plates as it is.Adam29 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 8:09 am Paul Hornby mentioned this on the radio - in the national league we were entitled to something like 70% grants where we were only paying something like 30% of the costs to get things done

I will help in anyway I can but it’s better being done in Furness....I’d pay a direct debit for the cause & im sure many others would as it’s only helps us grow & gives this & the next generations of support decent facilities to enjoy.
Anyone?
Re: Safe
Possibly on the wrong thread with this discussion but we seriously need to have more investors on board if we are to develop the ground. This and big sponsorships. If we extend the main stand one day it has to be done to match what is there and not a mish mash of smaller “make do” stands either side as someone else has mentioned. Said it for years- all the way back to 2007/8 promotion there needs to be a tangible plan for growth and development of the football club. Without it, what are we aiming for short/mid and long term. The current custodians wont be here forever.

Re: Safe
Of course the Trust are fans & Rep’s of the fans & yes any other fundraising would/could dilute somewhat but where else will the money come from??boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 3:59 pmThe trust is the fans.mickmike wilson wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 2:23 pm

We really need to get more investors (owners) onboard, bigger sponsorships and have revenue streams outside of match day.mickmike wilson wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 6:57 pmOf course the Trust are fans & Rep’s of the fans & yes any other fundraising would/could dilute somewhat but where else will the money come from??boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 3:59 pm

Rather than trawl through EFL docs, what is the bare minimum we need going in to the second season?
