Nothing wrong with loans if they are good enough. I think Howarth and (dare I say it) even Goodfellow looked better as loanees than on contract.

Regarding Cox's 'baptism of fire' article, I think simply achieving safety as early as possible is all we can aim for, then starting to get organised a bit better for next season.

Well, if we can't have a run in the Trophy, at least a relegation battle will keep things interesting.

Another example of stupid expectations. I can see us going round in circles every season, sacking and hiring managers for not getting us promoted while the playing staff go through a swift revolving door.

I think Mister Cox has a problem here regarding recruits. The stark reality of the industrial side of Morecambe bay from the balmy attractions of Torbay, English Riviera, has yet to sink in with him. The decent players in his sights and has lost to other clubs, (as mentioned above), has been due to "location, location, location."
