I totally agree on staying positive and we also have a a good opportunity this Friday to speak directly to players and management, sounding out what league survival means to supporters, club, town and local businesses

We were desperate for a target man with EFL experience and he was the only one available who was prepared to come to Barrow

We needed a striker who has been used to putting the ball in the net. I’ve said this before, I’d rather have taken a punt on someone from National League or Nat League North who had been banging in some goals. Goal scorers will score at any level with the right service. We have created the chances but the players we have up front aren’t ‘goal scorers’ and have neither confidence or the composure in front of goal because of that. It’s not rocket science.

I do agree with you that we need much more desire and passion on the pitch, I just feel Fridays a good opportunity to share constructively with players how much survival means to the town, hopefully this can help towards galvanising for the next 8 games, we might even come away surprised at how much the players want survival as well! As Jonty rightly points out it’s very much still in our hands and the 12th man could make all the difference, especially if it comes down to fine margins

My honest view is that Barrow have never settled into league football. Over the last 2 seasons we've been well off the pace of teams in this division. Whatever will be will be. I hope we stay up but if we go down it's because we don't deserve to be in League 2. The table never lies.

Into Saturday and for the remaining fixtures I will support the club and next year I'll be supporting them too whatever league we will be competing in.

I agree with the above. You cannot fault those in charge regarding funding but how it’s been used is questionable.Both on and off the field we we have been well off the pace. Poor managerial appointments. Training facilities fiasco, poor player signings and poor CEO appointment have kept us constantly on the backfoot.

The board are fans... That's probably not an issue, if they had a "director of football". I absolutely love that they've saved the club, ploughed their own money in, but it's been splashed, not spent! It hurts to say that, but it's true.

We haven't settled in the FL and we are a NL club... I hope that changes! I really do, but at the moment we're out of our depth as a club, unless as proper director of football is employed and is given free reign to direct.

I've tried to be positive and have been all season. However, this weekend hurt! I put all my hopes into seeing a bounce and Banks, et al., delivered was a damp flop! These players aren't fit to wear the blue and white again.

And Hitherto lies the problem. Appointing a man to that role whose football experience is little more than local amateur football.
