Re: Holloway (striker)
Well out of 24 teams in the league we have the 11th best defence from goals against so it is obvious where the weakness lies.
Re: Holloway (striker)
It's been glaringly obvious where our weakness has been all season, in the recruitment department we have been awful we've got the defence and midfield to be comfortably in mid table but I'm afraid that forward line is by far the worst in this league.

If Chesterfield don't get promoted, I'd love to see this lad here.

Looking at his stats and that video I can understand why.Adam29 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 3:15 pmBeing touted for up to £1,000,000 with championship clubs looking at himBigfathoss wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 2:50 pm If Chesterfield don't get promoted, I'd love to see this lad here.

Not at all surprised. We'd lose nothing by asking for a cheeky loan though. One to watch higher up the ladder for sure.Adam29 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 3:15 pmBeing touted for up to £1,000,000 with championship clubs looking at himBigfathoss wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 2:50 pm If Chesterfield don't get promoted, I'd love to see this lad here.

That might be a good reason for a bigger buying club to loan him out at first.Cringle wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 4:11 pmIf he's the same player after his leg break.Bigfathoss wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 3:55 pm

Not easy when you’ve travelled the length of the country to support your team.MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 9:28 amHow about listening to Saturday's post-match with Adam on BBC RC?bluessupporter wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 9:23 am

Re: Holloway (striker)
How disrespectful calling the manager a clown. What have you achieved in football? Would you call him that at a meet the manager night, oh course not you don’t attend.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 7:53 amThink anyone associated with league two football is aware our strikers don’t score goals. I think Phil Brown is a clown who should be nowhere near manager of our club but even so I think he will be aware that our strikers don’t score goalsDesmond2-2 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 10:32 pm That really made me laugh, “ we know we don’t have goal scoring forwards” then do your job, and say that to the manager, in your interviews.
Be a great bit of radio that won’t it
“Phil our strikers don’t score goals”
“Yes Adam I know, everyone knows”

Re: Holloway (striker)
Just listened to that interview for the second time, hoping it might be better than the first time I heard it. It’s just waffle really, from start to finish. Nothing meaningful in it at all other than ‘’we’ve got to win the next game”. No s**t Sherlock.MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 5:41 pmThis one?: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0c0g0kgDesmond2-2 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 4:41 pm

Re: Holloway (striker)
Holloway isn’t the only one not scoring, the lack of chances created is a worry but having said that will look at the good points he has a decent touch and is okay at holding the ball up but bad points, misses chances offers no pace in behind so defenders are happy as everything is in front of them, lack of movement is also a concern is this because he not training with us and seems to run out of steam second half, not on his own and questions must be asked about the fitness of the whole team with the lacklustre second half performances. The system we are playing doesn’t work with Gotts and Rooney playing out of position and looking like square pegs in round holes ,Gotts better playing in a free role behind the front two and Rooney better deeper and dictating play

I think people should give Adam some slack he's not a full time employee of Radio Cumbria - he just works part time - his proper job is a bingo caller, he's got no journalistic training whatsoever it was only a few years ago he was doing Hospital Radio so when you consider that I think he does a really good job.

Re: Holloway (striker)
Adam is probably the only reason I listen to Radio Cumbria. His football commentaries are accurate and to the point and he is fairly unbiased which is more than I can say for some of the other football commentators on Radio Cumbria. He does his homework on the other teams so he can add little snippets of information which makes his commentary very entertaining.I for one look forward to his commentaries when I am unable to go to a match as he is very descriptive and makes you feel like you are there watching the game.Long may he continue.
